It's been a year of triumphs and tribulations, and many of them are a certain extent notable. XBIZ Premiere names its annual list of the year's Top 100 newsmakers. Here they are:

ADAM & EVE

2011 signal adult giant Adam & Eve’s 40th anniversary. The company noteworthy all year long with strong Internet sales and another year of considerate contributions that included helping fund the Joycelyn Elders Stool in Sexual Health Education at the University of Minnesota Medical Coach. It also released a number of films with prominent studios including Hustler and X-Sleep around, in addition to working with director David Lord on the high-take interactive movie “Killer Bodies” and accompanying website. Meanwhile, Nobleman and director Andre Madness collaborated on the throwback “Grindhouse XXX.” Also on the tech side, the assemblage launched its Android and iPhone compatible mobile website.

VOD titan AEBN took home the XBIZ award for VOD Company of the Year in January. The juggernaut continued with a induce into the gay market, announcing an exclusive deal with gay producer Helix Studios and a handle with Channel 1 Releasing (C1R) to bring its Rascal line of films to the VOD players’s network of PPV theaters. Director Nica Noelle, who created Lover Video, Sweet Sinner and Sweet Sinema, also signed a handiwork deal with the company for a new girl/girl studio, Candy Lass Films, and feature studio Hard Candy Films. The suite also rolled out its RealTouch a software development kit and announced that it would cease sales of the devices through third-function distributors and sell directly.
