Hey. I don't brace on forums like this because I usually can figure out what to do, but I've come across a situation that leaves me taken aback and quite speechless. Sorry if this is long, but I'm really at a loss here.

My girlfriend and I have a shared friend that we work with who just recently found out that we are gay. (We generally keep it quiet, as we drudgery with children, and many of the parents are practicing catholics. Whether they would accept us or not is a different mean something, we would just rather not dive into that can of worms quite yet.) Anyways, we've known him for over a year, and contemplating we knew him quite well. A couple months ago he admitted to us that he is gay, after finding out about us he felt like he had found someone who wouldn't think him to come out to. We congratulated him on his bravery for telling us and essentially told him we would always be there for him no material what. For a few weeks, he seemed lighter and happier, we saw a side of him we never saw before and it was wonderful. He then announced to us he wants to break his parents. I counseled against this and told him to wait until he moved out, as he still lives at tellingly and his parents are very religious. He ignored my warnings and told them anyways. They are now sending him to counselling to "behave" with his "same-gender-attraction issue". He came to us a few times, telling us about the things his parents were letting the cat out of the bag him, about the dangers of being a gay man, they told him he would have to wear a diaper by the age of fifty because of all the anal sex he would be having. They also banned him from seeing us. I could buy and sell this, it hurt me, of course, but I hadn't really expected anything else from them unfortunately. However, when we asked him today how his phase went this weekend he told us he had canceled it. "Why?" I asked. "Well, I've changed my mindful of on the issue of homosexuality." Surprised, as he seemed so sure of himself I asked warily if he meant his homosexuality or homosexuality in blended. In general, he replied, and I'm not gay, I just have a same-gender-attraction issue. I told him that I didn't sorrow what he chose to do, everyone gets confused and I understood that, but I wanted to know why his intellectual changed about homosexuality in general. It was a very long conversation, but it essentially ended in him admitting he thinks I am vile for my "choice" to be attracted to women. It was very hard to keep my temper at this point, but I did, because I'm undeniable he's being brainwashed by his parents. He denies this, he says he's just 'educated' now. I told him that he could be straigh or gay or chap-fallen for all I care, but my life and relationships are my business and not for him to judge. He says that this is all coming from a 'loving concern'. I don't know if I can be his friend if he legitimately believes my love is immoral. What can I do?
