Glen Murray, MPP for Toronto Nave, told Xtra this week that he is heading a group that over the next year will manifest new “diversity” curriculum, which will be mandatory for all new teachers in blatant and Catholic school boards.
The new training program for teachers will take two years rather than one.
Murray, who serves as the Priest of Training, Colleges and Universities, says the new teacher curriculum is connected to the administration’s Accepting Schools Act, a controversial anti-bullying bill that would impose tougher consequences, including ejection, for “bullying and hate-motivated actions,” and seeks to call for all publicly-funded schools to set up student-run homosexual anti-bullying clubs.
