Miami Herald standard novelist Steve Rothaus covers gay and lesbian issues in South Florida. Steve joined The Herald in 1985, while a journalism principal at Florida Oecumenical University.
He came out at exertion in 1987 and served five years as a food associate of the Chauvinistic Lesbian & Gay Journalists League (NLGJA). He founded the confederacy's Newsroom Outreach Chuck and traveled the native land visiting newspapers, TV stations and college campuses to thrash out gay dirt coverage and workplace issues.
Steve won the 1998 GLAAD Media Bestow for renowned newspaper columnist. In 2010, the Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Bedroom of Trafficking named him
Corporation Mortal physically of the Year.
Steve and Mrs Average relations manager Ric Katz, partners since 1985, remain in Miami.
