ONE Survival TO LIVE - After 43 years, ONE LIFE TO LIVE becomes a part of television recital on Friday, January 13th, as the people of Llanview say goodbye and Agnes Nixon 's office for the long running daytime serial draws to a close: Nixon wanted to correspond with stories about richly diverse people as their lives intertwined, as they interacted with one another... and to elucidate the hopes and hardships, the goals, fights, and failures that are ultimately shared by all mankind no of importance how disparate their lifestyles. The series airs Monday-Friday (2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Small screen Network.
The Emmy Award-Winning series is set in the fictional community of Llanview, which is modeled on the Philadelphia Vigour Line. The character of Victoria Lord Davidson, present since the show's inception, continues as an basic part of the canvas today.
"One Life to Live" has been lauded for its groundbreaking observation of social issues, diverse canvas, award-winning performances and innovative storylines. Along with the portrayal-making week of live shows in May 2002, "One Life to Fare" is responsible for many "firsts" in Daytime television, including stories of interracial imagination and gang violence, as well as problems of literacy, medical misdiagnosis, lupus and genealogical prejudice. The show received mass critical acclaim for its 1992 homophobia storyline, which captured inhabitant headlines when it introduced the character of a gay teen (played by then unknown Ryan Phillippe) and culminated with the fervent display of the Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt.
