There is a saneness that Dan Savage feels the way he does about Rick Santorum...aside from the incident that Rick Santrorum is a nutjob, he has made it his personal pledge to stop gay people on every frank. He wants everybody to think the way he does!! This is what Christians and religious people do not seem to advised. This is everybody's country not just theirs. No one is stopping a person from worshiping; however, everybody does not have the same intuition system. There are other religious groups that do not believe the same things...for Instance the Jewish faithfulness, the Muslim Faith, the Buddist Faith. Stop saying we are a Christian political entity!! that is bullshit!!

Also, having said the above...the main issue that gay people have with people like Rick Santorum is that they try their damdest to demonize gay people. They never look at themselves as being imperfect. And they spread misinformation about gay people.

Gay people are citizens, they are tax payers and they are not looking for gala rights...they are looking for equal rights under the law. If we had equality across the board, we wouldn't have to have parades and protests...because we would be treated the same way. And gay people would due melt into society just like anyone else. But because we are outcasts...we behave as such...goodness, bad or indifferent is not the point.
