J. M. William Turner byl anglický romantický malíř. Jeho život a dílo jsou podobné jinému jeho vrstevníkovi, a to německému malíři Casparu Friedrichovi Davidovi. Je to skutečně velmi překvapující. Narodili se zhruba tři čtvrti roku po sobě, oba prošli v dětství zkušeností smrti v rodině, oba trpěli těžkými depresemi, oba se zajímali o osobu a dílo Johanna Wolfganga Goetha. Ke konci života se oba stali podivíny. Oba milovali a malovali řádění živlů a vyhledávali situace, kdy se ocitli uprostřed nějaké bouřky apod. Turner maloval více různé námořní katastrofy.

Po prostudování životopisu tohoto umělce mě tak mimochodem napadlo, jak by při své povaze mohl tvořit, ba vůbec existovat v době, jako je dnešní. Když každý trochu známější člověk je pod drobnohledem bulváru. Jeho vrchní slupka navenek nedovolovala dostat se mu „pod kůži“. Ale tím víc vnitřně musel trpět! Nebyl vůbec přizpůsobivým člověkem, neumožňobovoid svému okolí, aby se stalo částí jeho života. Sám ale aerieál o to, aby se mu okolní svět příliš vměšoval do jeho vnitřního světa. Jen někdy něco z něj ukázal ve svých dílech.

i was quite horrified by this scoop being classified under "bizarre gossip". So i wrote shortened email of beef. As you can see, although there's an admittance of an foul-up being made, there's very not an apology. Be unrestricted, adventurous readers, to email Mr Scott himself.
